About Me

Eoin Bassett

I’m an Irish journalist, editor and travel writer. I’ve slept rough in Havana, had the runs on the third highest pyramid in the world, and crossed the Pontic Alps.

Panama and Switzerland are places I have lived, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, France, Spain, Portugal, England and Turkey all places I have travelled.

A degree in History and Classical Studies from NUI Maynooth left me with few alternatives to a career in journalism. And since then I have earned a masters degree in it, taught it, and worked at it both online and in print.

Sometimes my travels are in my capacity as Editorial Director of International Living.

Feel free to drop me a line.
